Completion of Module:transcode

I am interested in getting a image and video sharing site running. Currently none of the available video sharing scripts address things such as plain image sharing, etc... Then I discovered Gallery, and especially the Transcode module http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Modules:transcode I can setup stuff fine; but I don't have PHP skills (I'm more from the Java world). I am looking to see if there is anyone who is familiar with Gallery's code base who would be interested in a earning a few $ by taking the patches that are linked to from the 'module' above and finishing them up into an actual module (to be released back to the community). Anyone interested? If so please message me; any reasonable offer will be considered.
