non-working 'Insert' button in Image Chooser

I'm running Wordpress 2.2.3 and just upgraded from wpg2 2.13 to wpg2 3.0.2 over at http://twofellswoops.com. Everything validates fine, and the pictures show up and album navigation works fine in the Image Chooser, but the 'Insert' and 'Check All' and 'Clear All' buttons are not working. It happens in both Visual and Code editing. I'm no expert, but I've spent all day reading every related post on the Forum and elsewhere, trying to learn more about the backend and fix it myself. I've played around with a lot but I can't seem to get anywhere. The demo works fine. Reloading the editing and Chooser windows in Firefox does not work. There are no other plugins that would be affecting wpg2. At this point any help would be very much appreciated. I'm happy to supply more information about my setup and configuration, please let me know. Thank you. |

Timothy,
You've already answered most of the questions that I would have asked. Could you set me up a temporary WP admin account and PM me the username/password so that I can look at the page source/javascript with Firebug myself? Normally, I'd ask you to try several things, but I'm kind of busy this week, and I can usually figure out what's going on faster than going back and forth.

Duh. Sometimes you forget to try the simplest things. I finally got hold of another computer, and it worked. So I simply cleared the cache and private data in Firefox, and presto! I'm still not sure why it was happening, though. Maybe something to do with Firefox remembering the old version of Gallery? Anyway, although slightly embarrassed, I'm grateful to capt_kirk and everyone here at the forums whose posts inspired me to dig into all my files and learn a few things. Thanks.

Hello, actually, I have the same problem. I have upgraded do WP 2.3 a couple of days ago, also upgraded all the plugins (wpg2, too) and for one day everything seemed to work perfect. Then I realised I cannot upload pictures with Gallery Remote to my Gallery2 site and right after that my "Insert" button in image chooser does not seem to react.
I already tried to reinstall the plugin a couple of times, tried different versions of WP 2.3 - compatible WPG2 plugins and still nothing. My website is http://happy2travel.eu/sk
Of course, I already tried to change computer (actually, about ten times), change the web browser...
I do not even know if this problem has anything to do with the Remote Gallery malfunctioning, but these two things occured at the same time. Furthermore, my girlfriends blog that I have just upgraded has the same problem now.
Please, if you have any ideas, I will really appreciate your help.

In theory, the G2Image "Insert" button and Gallery Remote should have nothing to do with each other. Although, it wouldn't surprise me if there is a common root cause.
Have you tried deactivating all other plugins besides WPG2 to see if there is a conflict with any other WP plugins?

Hi, yes, I tried to deactivate some of the Wordpress plugins and it did not help. Now, after your post I deactivated all the plugins at once, cleared the cache, everything. Nothing has changed. In Mozilla, after pressing Insert button, it doesnot say or do anything, but when I do it on IE, it indicates in Image chooser window "Error on the page"
When I opened the note about error, it showed me this:

At this stage, I am really desperate, I am traveling in Colombia now and have no clue what to do about it. I am already thinking about reinstalling whole gallery 2.
It also seems quite weird to me that Gallery remote and Image chooser would not be working because of the same reason, but as a matter of fact, these two problems occurred at the same time. When it happened, I was not changing anything in Gallery 2 settings. Furthermore, I realized now that in Gallery 2 stopped working also upload from Web browser...
Shortly before I was adjusting the settings for the new Lightbox thing in WPG2, but after I realized Image Chooser does not work, I changed all the settings in WPG2 to default.

I can't get the Gallery2 Image Chooser to "insert" anything. I've tried the Firefox cleared the cache thing, I've tried IE (and get error messages) and I've tried Safari. Nothing will work.
Looks like an old problem has come back.

I still have not found a fix yet. Does anyone know if there are any other Gallery to WordPress plug-in available? I hate to bail on "Capt_Kirk" but I really need this feature.
