I upgraded to WPG2 3.0.2 and the /wpg2? doesn't work.. I don't have any idea why. I'm on a GoDaddy Linux shared hosting.. It worked with 3.0.1 but doesn't work now. Here's the site: http://www.thejohnstonfamily.name/wp-gallery2.php

First, you must revalidate the plugin in the wpg2 wp admin pages
Second, read the directions and you will see the the file you are referencing (wp-gallery2.php) should have been deleted as part of the upgrade process (manually).
WPG2 now uses WP pages... the default page address would be http://www.thejohnstonfamily.name/wpg2 which you can change...
the directions also include instructions on updating the .htaccess file so it redirects the old url...

FFEMTcJ,
Nothing in the changes from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 should have broken the embedded page. If it worked in 3.0.1, it "should" still work in 3.0.2, since all of the changes were in the validation process to fix validation for those rare cases where auto-validation wasn't working.
That said, it's obviously not working, so please try the following:
1. Deactivate and reactivate WPG2 under Plugins Management.
2. Revalidate WPG2 by hitting the WPG2 tab.
3. Turn G2 URL rewrites back on under on the Gallery2 Rewrites tab.
4. Verify that there is a wpg2 page under Manage -> Pages.
5. If still not working, try switching to "WPG2 Output via Standalone Gallery2 Page" on the WPG2 Output tab and then back to "WPG2 Output via Wordpress Page". This will force the page to be rebuilt.
6. Like Mr. Papa said, the readme says to delete wp-gallery2.php. Here are the instructions he was talking about on redirecting wp-gallery2.php to the new page.

Ok.. I deactivated and deleted all the WPG2 stuff, plus the wp-gallery2.php... Then reuploaded the WPG2 3.0.2.. Activated it. Clicked the WPG2 tab.. Everything is green. Rewrite is off. There is a wpg2 page.. I still get a 404 error.. WP permalinks is on. Rewrite on still doesn't work. Switched to output via standalone, and then back to WP doesn't help. I did the redirect, which isn't working.. Any further suggestions??

It looks like you're running out of PHP memory. See the FAQ. See this post that says one user had to go to 128 MB to get it to work.

Any time that I try to add something that modifies the php memory, I get immediate 500 errors on all pages.. take it away, no error.. Other than WPG2 not working.
[edit]I was able to change in my php.ini the memory_limit to 128M... This still has no effect.. I completely deactivated the plugin.. Deleted it from the FTP.. Deleted the WPG2 page. Downloaded a new copy. Uploaded it. Activated. Clicked WPG2, then went to output, and did the embed. It created a WPG2 page.. And still 404.. [/edit]

Hmm. None of your pages are working. I tried "about-chris" and got the same behavior. What does your /.htaccess look like?
EDIT: Also, would you please install the WP Internal Rewrite Viewer plugin and post the results.
Thanks,
Kirk
