Hi I have installed the Gallery2 and wordpress. Activated WPG2, but when pressing the "WPG2" to validate it, I just se an blank screen (see here: www.maxa.se/pics/wpg2_fault.jpg ). Probably its just something silly that I have missed, but I have looked for 2 days now without succsess. Anyone that knows what can cause this? //Max

Floridave: What do you mean? Shouldnt the wpg2 V3 be placed in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/ ?

Totaly blank. And it always have been, so thats my problem. I cant validate the WPG2 to make it work (to access the rest of the tabs).

Sorry. Missed the link in the first post. Was skimming messages too quickly while I ate breakfast.
(Floridave meant that this is the right forum for this post. He moved your message here. You're correct about the plugin file location.)
Can you make me a temporary WP admin account so that I can take a look at page source, etc on the WPG2 tab. I thought that fixing the two validation bugs with 3.0.2 would eliminate the blank WPG2 tabs, but it's obvious that it's not working on all server configurations. The challenge is figuring out why, because I can't reproduce this on any of our dev/test servers. So, the temporary admin account would be very helpful. If this is possible, please PM me the username and password.
EDIT: When I go to http://www.maxa.se/gallery2/main.php, it returns a 500 server error. Is that the right address for your standalone Gallery2 installation? If so, are you getting an error, or is it working for you?

And I accidentaly turned on wrong chmod on the .htaccess-file, when trying back and forth. Now its ok again and the gallery works. But the WPG2 still dosnt

I see what you're talking about. Unfortunately, I can't tell at all what's going on, because the html on the blank pages just stops, with no error information.
I need to be able to edit the files in the wpg2 folder, but when I try to it says "Du kunde redigera den här filen om du hade skrivrättigheter till den." I think that means that those files do not have the write permission set. Could you chmod the wpg2 folder to 666? Then I can put in some troubleshooting "echo" commands to try to figure out where the scripts are dying.

I have CHmoded some files, is it enough or shall I do it to more files? (Cant find any function to CHMOD a dir including subs.

I guess I have some major problems with wrong CHMODS on my files!
Cause now it started to work! Not entierly, but I think I can figure out witch files to give greater CHMOD.

Great! Glad it's working. (To be honest, I'm not sure why chmodding those files would make it work, but maybe they didn't even have read set on some of them?)

I seem to be having this problem too now.
1and1 hosting upgraded their servers and I think that caused the problem (don't know why).
Anyway, it broke my wpg2 install.
When trying to figure out the problem, I discovered I get the blank validation tab now.
chmod didn't seem to help.

Sorry 1and1 have done something to the their hosting environment and as a result we have seen a string of known issues (please see the 500 errors thread for more info).
I believe 1and1 are working on what in the heck they have done but no signs of any real resolution yet..

I was kind of hoping the upgrades would fix the problems, not make them worse. my stand alone works fine so I'll see what shakes out.
