Gallery 2 - does not show translation :-( HELP!!!

Dear All...
I've just installed the brand new Gallery 2,
After the install (which was lovely btw)
I choose "Hebrew" as the primary language.
now the entire gallery is "right to left" and not "left to right" which is great. however ALL THE TEXT is in english.
I checked to see that "locale" is installed on my server and that it supports he_IL and it seems so.

any ideas? anyone? please advice... :-(

Your ISP probably does not support Gettext, which is needed for translations.

Check your phpinfo() for gettext support.

Considering the fact, I'm the ISP :-) That can be solved.

Hmmm. before I do that, I just made a phpinfo page: http://beetles.co.il/test.php and as it seems:
"gettext
GetText Support enabled"

Can it be something else?

Other than making sure that the correct locale is enabled, I don't know what it can be.

Maybe someone else can offer more advice.
