WANTED: Gallery 1.6 Skins

Hi All,

Has anyone created some cool Gallery 1.6 Skins?
There are a few that work from the RC1-108 build, but nothing too exciting. I kinda liked the Hotred (black with red text)... but I am looking for more.

Can anyone help?

"few" ? ;-) I only ported 3 skins. And only the default skin works really well.

I would be very very happy to see new skins for 1.6
And I am more than willing to help and assist and integrate them.

I think for starters, are the some Gallery 2 ones that we could move back to 1.6? Overall the changes you've made are great. I still love the lightweight feel of 1.6 and the improvements take it that much further. The search is pretty cool too!

I also noticed that the admin text/icons don't line up well in IE7, but are fine in Firefox.

Some of the menus could benefit with the [ ] around the links. It is hard to tell they are links and where the word phrases begin/end. I duhno if that is part of the skin or not though.

I am not good at making them, but I don't mind looking at Gallery 2 and suggesting the ones that I like if you don't mind porting them (as best as possible).

if you can do layout things too:
all the above plus, tile, slider, siriux.

I was listing those as easy knockoffs (perhaps) to bring into Gallery 1.
If you want to talk some new ones - what does one have control over.. If I knew what can be customized, I would definitely try to help.

For me "new" is any skin that is not already in 1.6

These are the skins that came with the 108 install:

bars002
black
bred
bubbles
butterfly_green
hotred
jenskin
lilac
madmod1
slick
suit
white1
yellow

My suggestion would be to fix all of these first so that they work. The default one is all blank, and bars002 didn't work when i tried it through the configuration wizard. I had to modify the config.php file to attempt to change the skins.

I can work with you in creating some new skins... I am assuming all I really have to do is mess around with the .CSS files and change the color/fonts/perhaps some images?
