The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):www.rarmy.com/test/gallery
Gallery version:1.5.7
Apache version:who cares
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):don't care
Graphics Toolkit:whatever
Operating system:linux
Web browser/version (if applicable): Firefox

ok scuse the quick tirade;... CSS Sucks, I think its a took of the devil, written to torture us none programmers tat don't have the time to learn php and css, tired of re-inventing the wheel

ol, tirade over...

have placed a url for the background all over my base.css, screen.css, and any other poor defenseless css sheet stumbled upon. I got all but the stupid box on top to change, but am unable to get that last box. interesting that when I enable the css edit with the firefox web tool, more of the box changes, but when i exit the tool it goes back.

some time ago you had a box with-in the configuration for "background image" can you bring it back, please.....

Album properties -> layout tab: Background Image (URL)

URL and what you want to change if you get stuck.

if you go to my gallery, http://www.rarmy.com/test/gallery you will see a big grey box around the header and album list, not sure how else to describe it, if you go to http://www.rarmy.com/swgr/gallery .. the whole page has the same background...

I have found 2 tools that are invaluable the firefox browser and the web development tool that allows you to Make live edits to the CSS of a web page..
Once you have them both installed....
select edit css and under the 'information' dropdown check display ID & class details.
Edit your CSS and you will see the results. Once you have this the way you want, upload your edited css to the server.
