Gallery version (not just "2"): version 2.2
PHP version (e.g. 4.3.11): 5.2.2
PHPInfo Link (see FAQ): http://localhost/phpinfo.php
Webserver (e.g. Apache 1.3.33):1.3.37
Database (e.g. MySql 4.0.11): 5.0.45
Activated toolkits (e.g. NetPbm, GD): GD 2.0.34 compatible
Operating system (e.g. Linux): XPPro (single user)
Browser (e.g. Firefox 1.0): Firefox 2.0.0.5
My fault: have two instances of mysql running on the server partition and the 5.0.45 did not have InnoDB enabled. Once I did that the install was successful. The gallery will not install in a MyISAM environment.

g2 works fine with MyISAM. but you need to choose the right driver.
