where to start for website integration

I have a regular HTML-based website, where should I begin with integrating gallery2 into it.

The site was actually based on Prosilver style of phpbb3, but the gallery section is just a single html file.

you might want to try the phpbb3 <-> G2 integration. see www.nukedgallery.net.

unless i'm mistaken, the integration was meant for Beta version of phpbb3 (read it before I posted the initial topic). since there have been significant changes to the code in the phpbb3 RC1 release, it's been mentioned that G2 integration doesn't work with RC1.
