I'm new to Gallery, but I've been liking it so far. Something that I'd like to be able to do is to allow people to upload their files to a group gallery for members of that group. However, most digital cameras these days take pictures in too high of a resolution to be useful for what I'm trying to do - not to mention the additional space that those files take up.
What I'd like to do is be able to limit the maximum resolution of an uploaded picture file. But if at all possible, I'd like it to be a use-friendly type of system. I.E., the user doesn't have to resize the file, because the Gallery will do so when they've uploaded it. I'm not talking about display resolutions, I know it will do that. I'd like to have the file itself resized so that it's now at a maximum resolution that I can set. Say for example I set it to be no bigger than 1024 pixels high or wide. If a picture is uploaded that's bigger than that, it get scaled down (keeping height & width proportions intact) to 1024 on the biggest side, and then stored that way.
Is there any way of doing this? Any kind of plugin that will allow this? If nothing automatic, is there a way that I can resize it from within the Gallery once I become aware of it?
Or is this just an impossible dream?

Never mind, I discovered the "Size Limit" plugin. :D I would have just deleted this posting, but it seems there's no such option for the original poster in this forum. Thanks anyway to anyone who would have answered.
