geeklog, mysql & gallery oh my.

I've had a play with the gallery-geeklog thing floating around out there that basicially auths, be it buggy with cookies, off geeklog.

Has anyone gotten gallery using mysql totally, including Albums etc either standalone or with geeklog? I'm working on a geeklog site and I'd like to incorporate gallery into it, but given that it uses flatfiles for it's album information it makes the gallery <-> geeklog interaction very very limited at best :/

I assume tweaking the Albums.php/AlbumsDB.php and replacing the flatfile functions with mysql functions would be involved.

Any help would be appreciated :)
