Hi there,
I am half way through i think...
I installed G2 created album and uploaded a photo....running good.
Now I should import my old gallery but when I go in the admin site/admin options....the only thing that came up is IMPORT ARCHIVE (not choose gallery, or choose object etc.)
Not only but if I put the path of my previous gallery albums it says:
The path you entered isn't a valid path to an unzip binary.

I think I am missing some steps...but I was reading the migration guide...
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:migration#Data_Migration

and i can't go on....
Thanks for your help

you'r looking at the "archive upload" module instead of at the "migrate" module.
see:
documentation -> installation -> migration from gallery 1

You are probably having the same problem I had - if "migrate" is not listed under "import" in your G2 admin options, the "migrate" module still needs to be added, but the instruction page on migration doesn't mention this - it seems to assume "migrate" will already be there. Go to "plugins" and then go to the "get more plugins" tab. Then you can download the list of plugins, and then download the "migrate" plugin. If it doesn't let you download plugins, it may give you instructions on changing your permissions so that you can.
