Can't change language

sorry for my bad english

i installed gallery-2.2.1
but can't changу languague.
I set russian language, save it, system writes, that All is ok.. but language is still english...

Why?! maybe i didn'e set any file permissions or something another?

i really need help!

Hello Extazy

Iam in the same problem with you, but now i just excaped.
I don't known where the error from but if you follow my way may be you can install you language.
the error excute in the install step 8 - when I turn on all the plugins ...

1 -You can install again.
2 -and don't turn on any plugin.(in step8,9)(<-not sure)
3 -login to admin, and change to your language.
4 -go to admin/Performance and delete templates cache.
5 -logout from admin acount.
6 - press Ctrl + F5.
--> your language is set.

That's my way to pass the same error.

what browse you user to install.
I user IE when I got it, if you user Firefox try again with IE.

Go to Site admin / Theme Settings /
Add Language selector to : Blocks to show in the sidebar .

Now test if your language working .
if everything ok , just restart your server .

THIS SOLUTION WORKS ON MY SITE:

Enter the mysql database, look for the "users" table. Open it. Modify the "guest" user by entering the language you need to use as default for your gallery for all visitors. Save.

Now all your new visitors will use that language since it is theyr default. If they register, they can select the language they want.

Good look.

I struggled with language selection too, in my case my locale were not complete.

Check with "locale -a". If your language code is not listed, locale must be reconfigured. This depends on linux distribution, in case of Ubuntu and its forks, there are packages named "language-pack-??". This will add the missing locale files.
