I tried to edit the first posting in this thread and it replaced all the BBcodes with it's mangled versions. It looked bad in preview, so I cancelled the edit.

Should be reproducible

That's a pre-migration post. The "quote" blocks were fixed in the migration, but not the "code" blocks. (I believe the code migration even stripped an extra layer of backslashes... eek).

Since it only affects old posts, which we rarely have to edit, I think we can probably just leave things as they are, fixing them on an individual basis if necessary (I had to add some backslashes to a post from a month or two ago, for example). Editing more recent posts won't incur this problem.

Beckett's right: this issue should only occur from pre-migration posts. If you see this happening on post-migration posts let me know.
