Open item actions in a popup

Hi there
I wondered if nobody wanted to do this before me. i searched the forum but didn't find any solutions, so here's my problem:

Below each picture in my gallery I have a dropdown list called "Item-Actions", where users can select from different options (at the moment the slideshow-applet and the eCard-applet). Now I would like to open a popup, when users click on the link for "Send Picture as eCard", so that they can fill out the neccessary information there. How do I do that?
