CD Album / Cover Art - Any way to get a single picture to work for the thumbnails for an entire album?

On my site I have Music CDs with 30 second sound clips. I am hoping to get it so that every single mp3 file has the thumbnail of the album art. I know I can do this with each individual mp3 file manually but it seems like there should be a way to specify a certain picture and use that picture for the thumbnail for EVERY item in the album. Does anyone know a way to do this? Any modules/plugins that will help with this? Thanks a heap. I love gallery!

Hi, I can't help but have a similar question. I want to have certain thumbnails "stick" for certain albums and subalbums.

On my site I am creating individual albums for each exhibition (event) and there is a "key" image from the printed invitation for each of these albums, and I want the thumbnail image representing the album anywhere in Gallery2 to use that "key" image and not any image from the album.

I am just starting to post images to albums, but on posting a second image to an album, that image became the thumbnail for the album instead of the first image, which I would have liked to keep as the thumbnail.

OK, five minutes later...I think I just figured it out -- there is an option in editing an item to "Highlight" it. (Ok, ok, I'm a Gallery newbie...)

Album Highlight

You can make this item the thumbnail for its parent or any ancestor album.

Well, that was easy. I just didn't know the term to search on. Mckayc, I hope that works for you - maybe if you don't specify an image, it will use the Highlight image as the default thumbnail? Good luck!
