Gallery version: 1.5
PHP version: php-5.0.4
Webserver: Apache 1.3.2
Database (e.g. MySql 4.0.11):
Activated toolkits: ImageMagick 6.2.3
Operating system: Window 2000 Pro
Browser: FireFox 2.0.0.3

I would like to Upgrade to Gallery 2.2.1 but don't know how.
I've had 1.5 on for ages but have never done an upgrade before.

I'm currently running Windows 2000 pro with Apache 1.3.2 as
my web server.

Could some one please tell me how to get the new version up and
running. Do I have to reinstall Gallery and start over?

Upgrading from G1 to g2 is different than upgrading from one G1 version to another.

You need to install a fresh G1 and then import your G1 data.

Thank you.....

I was thinking that it may have to be done this way but just wasn't sure.
Seems like a ton of work... Since I don't have many photos on my current
setup, would you just recommend a fresh install. Has this migration been known to cause issues?

Thanks again for the link.

I have Gallery 1.5 running on solaris x86. I have a new computer that I am going to install whitebox or fedora on and then gallery 2.2.
1) Which install of linux is the easiest to get gallery running?
2) The upgrade instructions I have seen focus on upgrades on the same OS/computer. In this case where I am migrating to a new computer are there different upgrade steps?

Thanks. I am in the planning phase for this upgrade.
