About this error?

Hi all..
I'm Indonesian and new here... and i'm searching for my translations languanges.. but seems can't find it here so i just want to try make my own translation...
but where to start? it's bit confused.. I searched and read about how to add a new language in this forum. But please forgive me that I'm still not clear about what I should do. I check this forum then.. i followed this http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Localization#Creating_a_new_localization and when i do this :
cd www/modules/core/po
make id.po
get message like this :
/bin/sh:line 1: php: command not found
make: ***[message.po] Error 127

What this mean? thanks before.

PHP Version : PHP/4.3.10-18
System : Linux webserver 2.6.19-rc1-1-486

you need php on your server (php-cgi or a php binary for the command line) and it needs to be in the environment path.
