Add search results to the zipcart

I run:
Gallery version = 2.2 core 1.2.0
PHP version = 4.4.4 cgi
Webserver = Apache/2.0.55 (Red Hat)
Database = mysql 5.0.20a-standard, lock.system=flock
Toolkits = ArchiveUpload, Exif, Getid3, LinkItemToolkit, ImageMagick
Acceleration = none, none
Operating system = Linux web79.extendcp.co.uk 2.6.9-42.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jul 12 23:27:17 EDT 2006 i686
Default theme = matrix
gettext = enabled
Locale = en_GB
Browser = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Rows in GalleryAccessMap table = 60
Rows in GalleryAccessSubscriberMap table = 247
Rows in GalleryUser table = 11
Rows in GalleryItem table = 238
Rows in GalleryAlbumItem table = 11
Rows in GalleryCacheMap table = 0

Is there any way to add the search results to the zipcart (i.e. have an item action box). Otherwise it makes the search quite useless...
Would appreciate some help.

certainly doable, but takes some coding.

probably modify the appropriate search inc file to call GalleryTheme::loadCommonTemplateData with 'itemLinks' as the data to populate.
