G2: Featured Photo Block + Recently Commented Photos $$$

I'm looking for someone to add the following functionality to G2 for me, preferably by modding the Image Block, or even by creating a new module.

Featured Photo Block:
In the item actions for individual photos, I'd like an option to specify the photo as a featured photo. I'd then call this from an external block.

Recently Commented Photos Block:
When someone makes a comment, I want to be able to show that photo in a block. Ideally the block would show 4 or 5 most recently commented photos. I'd want a timestamp under the photos, and maybe even the beginning of the comment in the alt tag.
