Hi Guys,
Hope you can help. I had a system crash on my old Debian box, but managed to retrieve the albums directory from it.
I've set up a new box, and decided to upgrade to G2 while I'm at it. Possibly that was a bad move.
When I try to import the gallery from G1, I get the following error. I've set the permissions to 777 for all those folders btw.
Security Violation

It's pretty clear from your error message what your problem is. Album79 is missing it's album.dat file, or it's unreadable. Unless you have a backup of that somewhere else, you won't be able to import it.

This could be caused by any number of things I suppose...
I tried removing that 'albums79' folder, but it's still looking for it. Which means it's picking up a list of folders from a database somewhere.
So - any ideas on how to import this without having to do it all manually, folder by folder?
Thanks for your help btw.

Why not just deselect that album when importing? Tried deleting it in your G1 install or run validate albums in it before trying to import?

It doesn't get to the point where I can select or deselect specific albums - as soon as I try to import from G1, it throws up that error message.
So maybe my best bet would be to set up another G1 installation, copy the /albums directory over the default one, make it shipshape, then try to reimport?

Try the validate albums tool...
