Can the URL Rewrite module do this?

I've got a new project that I'm thinking of using Gallery for. I've used it before and think it's great. The one requirement that that the client has that I'm not sure Gallery can handle is that they want the URLs in this format:

w w w.site.com/artist/painting/

Where artist would be the title of the album and painting the title of the image they are viewing. I'm sure I can convince them to have slight modifications to that structure (ie addition of the image id) if I need to.

I've only used earlier versions of Gallery so I'm not 100% familiar with the function of the URL Rewrite module in the latest version. Can it do this for me?

And if you;re curious, I spent a fair amount of time reading the module description on this site and searching the forum but just couldn't find an answer that convince me this will work for sure.
