I hired someone last year to create a modification to the webcam module in Gallery 2 for me, for it to archive and save all webcam images in an album, not just display the latest image. He wrote most of it and it works just fine (with the exception of point #1 below), but unfortunately life got in the way and it was never finished.
I need someone to do two things:
- Finish modifying the module so that it ONLY archives the picture if the file's timestamp has been updated. Originally it saved an image every X seconds/minutes, so it would only work for cams that update at a precise interval... otherwise it ends up with loads of duplicates. I asked him to correct this and he apparently did, but I could not get it working on my end, and then we fell out of touch. The code is there, I just must have missed something in the setup, so I need someone to take a look at it. Which brings me to #2...
- Clean it up a bit to make it more user friendly, ready for distribution, and make sure it's up to date with the current webcam module. Right now you have to edit files and cron manually, etc. It's not exactly user friendly and I'd like for this contribution to go back to the community in a way that the average Gallery user can take advantage of.
Please respond with a quote on what you would charge for this and when it could be complete. I will send you the files and instructions thus far.

We are willing to hire $ a developer. If anyone is interested please post or PM. I would prefer to pay to keep this feature as part of gallery rather than spend the money to have an outside developer build somthing as a seperate application.
