GalleryEmbed::getImageBlock + javascript

Hi folks.

I have a G2 instance on my website (actually the website for the tri club that i belong to). I'd like to use the GalleryEmbed::getImageBlock to get a random image. If i use the code pretty much verbatim from http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:GalleryEmbed:getImageBlock, it works great, but...

The one added feature i'm looking for is the ability to hook up some javascript to this code that will reload the random image once every 10 seconds or so.

Unfortunately, i'm a javascript moron, so i don't know how to go about this.

Anyone have any ideas?
