Gallery 2 API - Linking

Hello,

I'm thinking of writing a script to automatically upload photos/albums to gallery2. I've had a look into at galleryadd.pl, and beleive I can copy most of the API calls in my own script to do what I want. I also wan to integrate links into my script though, and galleryadd.pl does not allow for linking (as in, linking a single photo to multiple albums). I've been looking through the files, looking for some idea of how I should do it, but I'm completely lost.

So, my question is, is there an API for linking a photo with an album? If so, how do I use it?
