adding another variable to links

I didn't get a reply in the customization forum a few days ago, so I'm posting it here as well.
It might fit in here better anyways.

Hi all,

I would like to add another variable to ALL links within gallery so that I can make galley work with one of my other scripts.
How do I go about it? What file do I need to edit. Basically the links should just have another variable added to the one from gallery itself.
