"mydomain.com/username" How?

Hi,

I am a brand new user to Gallery 2 (I used Gallery 1x for a while). I am setting up a new G2 installation. I have setup the Gallery at domain root (www.mydomain.com) and now I would like that my users get a url like "mydomain.com/username" That is,

1. User main URL should be "mydomain.com/username"
2. All subaabums for the users should be BELOW "mydomain.com/username"
3. User should get simple search friendly URL for images

Could anyone help me and explain me on how to do this?

Have you tried the URLRewrite module?

I'm trying to do something similar. I was told to use "multiroot", but i have had no luck. Do you?

I have urlRewrite and its giving me "mysite.com/main.php/v/user"

Instead I would like to have the URL as: "mysite.com/user"

Anyone please?
