Auto Convert file type on upload

Hi, I've been trying to find something on this but not had any luck: I'm going to be uploading a lot of bmp files to my gallery and I'd like to have them auto converted to jpg files when they're uploaded (as bmp files are huge) Is there a plugin that does this? I've had a look and can't see any config options for it. Cheers! |

what g2 does already is:
convert bmp to jpg and keep bmp as original, offering a "download original photo" link in addition to a jpg of the same size.
isn't that good enough?
g2 can do that only if the image toolkit modules installed support the bmp -> jpg operation.

Ah ha! After a bit of tinkering I found that I must have broke it myself...
I'd set image/bmp to be viewable which I think broke the auto convert.
I'd been having problems getting bmp's uploaded - turned out they were bigger than the php max file upload size.
*Sigh*
