Trouble matching users and their albums after migrating from Coppermine

Hi people,

I have recently migrated from Coppermine and brought with me around 300 users with their albums from a well used coppermine gallery. Initially everything seemed fine, but when I click the "Your Album" link at the upper right corner, the gallery creates a new album for me rather than jumping to my existing one transferred from Coppermine.

What I'm trying to find out is how to make the gallery match my login with an existing album.

For your information I migrated using the available migration tool, then later upgraded to Gallery 2.1.2.

The gallery is also embedded in phpBB, but the problem seems to be independant of that fact.

Also, initially all ownership was transferred to me doing the migration, but it does not seem to help setting the g_ownerId field of the g_Item table row. Setting this to a particular user ID does not prevent the gallery to create a new album when logging that user in.

Hope someone would be able to help me on this one.

/Sten

i don't know the coppermine -> g2 import module. i just know that it exists.

i doubt that this import module handles user albums since useralbum is an optional module. i could be wrong, but i guess you'd have to hack the import module yourself to get this mapping correct.

as to the lost ownership information: that too is a question of how the import module works.
the g1 -> g2 import module first imports the users, then the albums and images.
if you don't import the users, all ownership is transfered to the admin.
the coppermine -> g2 import might work differently.

KSlap is the author of the coppermine import module. not sure if he reads the forums. he pretty much suddenly stopped development of the module before it was 100% release ready.
