I tried to look and search in the forum for these but had no luck, sorry. 1) How do I center the caption under each picture? 2) When going to the main gallery folder, http://mydomain.com/gallery/, it just lists the contents of that directory. I figured it would automatically load "index.php". Just wondering if that was suppossed to happen or not. Does this mean to link to my main gallery page, I should link it as .../gallery/index.php? 3) How do I change what picture is displayed on the main gallery page for each individual album? --- I know these are really simple questions, but I have absolutely no experience what so ever with php, gallery, or anything else related to this program. Plus I didn't have a lot of free time to look. And I did search but with no luck. But thanks for any help. |

2) there should be an index.php file that came with gallery, that's strange, i'd unzip/tar the package and put the index.php there.. it'll actually include albums.php into it (is how it works)
3) when you log in as admin, go to the subalbum you want highlighted and under it, select Highlight Album from the dropdown menu. in the subalbums, you can change the photo that gets highlighted the same way
hope that helps!

That does help. Thank you very much. If anyone knows the answer to the first question that would be great. Thanks dtdgoomba.

Are you looking to center the caption under each full sized photo or are you talking about the thumbnail views?
If it's the thumbnails, see the post below where I just answered this question:
<!-- BBCode Start --><A HREF="http://gallery.menalto.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB_14&file=index&action=viewtopic&topic=5162&2" TARGET="_blank">How do I center the caption text</A><!-- BBCode End -->
As far as full sized images I just opened the view_photo.php for version 1.3.3 and it seems that centering the caption is already set as the default, so I'm assuming you want to center captions under thumbnails.
Unless you tell me otherwise of course.... :wink:
