Advice on Starting out with Gallery

Hi,

I’m totally new to Gallery, DB & Joomla & need some advice (I’ve got the Joomla-Gallery bridge working).

First, can anyone point me to some good newbie Gallery tutorials on configuration (I think I understand the basics of installation)? I’ve done some searching, but many results point to dead links. The best tutorial I’ve found so far is:

Secondly, my plan is to incorporate into some existing sites as well as new ones. What kind performance/resource issues should I plan for as the traffic on my Gallery sites grow?
