Change look of search box ...

Hi,

I want to change the look of ny search box. I saw that I have to change the SearchBlock.tpl. But if I change this file in the deep of the modules path, how can I pass my theme to other users?
Is there a chance to copy the SearchBlock.tpl in my local folder and change it there or something like that?
