Displaying text files inline

Hi,

Anyone know how to display text files inline (in html) rather than having to download them?

Also is there a way to edit the size of a custom thumbnails for a text document? When I added a custom thumbnail to a text "album" (the album that preceeds the text document download page), it gave me the mesasge that "There are no graphics toolkits enabled that support this type of item, so we cannot create or modify a thumbnail," under the thumbnail section in the edit document page. This seems unnecessary. Why can't I choose a thumbnail size for my text document thumbnail? I don't mind using the default photo size, but I think this is an oversight.

Any help or modules would be great.

Basically I am putting together a site where people can upload all kinds of items, including text files. It would be nice if clicking on the thumbnail or link resulted in a page like the image page, but where the text document was converted into HTML (a simple <p> and <br /> tags -- possibly with the PHP "nl2br").
