How can I add a new variable in the theme template.

Hi, i would like to add a varible where it can be read in the album.tpl.

This variable contains permission value of the g2_user.Everybody. Before loading the page, i had to check first if the User.Everybody has a permission of "core.view".. then if it has, had to display the text says.. that this album is a private album. That's all.

I know that this is an easy task.. but i don't know where to put up the code to be read in the album.tpl template.
