Gallery Placement within Joomla/Mambo Intergration

Greetings!

I've embedded Gallery2 within Joomla. However, I'm not completely pleased with the image position and placement when viewing. Perhaps the answer lies in the choice of CMS template used? When viewing, the user must scroll down to view each image. You know, click next or previous then scroll down to actually see the full image. This makes for an aggravating viewing experience. I'm concerned because my sites are image intensive and I want viewers to enjoy the experience. If anyone has tips on template selections or template modification, that would be appreciated.
