Picasa web albums. Gallery threat? Flickr-killr? Happily co-exist?

I wonder if this it's going to be a threat? Or a flick-killr?
Personally, I like control of my stuff on my website. But it looks interesting!

I am trying it now. I wonder if google web albums will be friendly with wordpress. Or if the new version of picasa will be more friendly with gallery 2.

I hate to say this, and please don't hate me for it, but after 5 years of being a gallery user, I'm starting, for the moment, to upload to Picasaweb, purely and simply because it's so damn fast!
Gallery is still on my site but...well, we'll see what the next update to v2 brings, but it's all about speed and server load for me.

It's very fast. So would Gallery 2 be on what I imagine the HW that powers Picasa Webalbums is :-) It's a good alternative if you want a service, not an application. Flickr was pretty quick in the start too, now it's far from speedy.
