Gallery 2.1, Drupal 4.7

Every user in my new site, showing random combinations of Different User Name, Different Full Name, and Different Password under administer>users>Gallery2-Drupal Sync Status, except for one user. There are only a few users and I've check all the value between Gallery2 and Drupal and they are all the same.

Can someone recommend how to debug this? - Thanks

I've got the same question. not sure if I need to create a custom profile field to accomodate the Full Name from Gallery2.

Please try the new CVS version of gallery.module (obtainable from http://drupal.org/node/3247/release - will be automatically regenerated sometime today, check the date.). The only case for a different user name will be if the main drupal user (id=1) and the original Gallery2 admin have different user names.

Steel Rat -- yes, you need a custom profile field to accomodate the Full Name. The name of this field can be set in the gallery.module settings.

Thanks Kiz.

I added the field in Drupal profiles. Do i need to do anything special to force a synch? Or is that part of the normal cron run?

Sync only occurs when a user is created or modified. No cron run sync is done.

So how would I get the existing user fullnames synched?

The sync only occurs on user creation or modification. In this case, if you had gallery.module installed and full name support enabled with the correct profile field name at the time that the full names were entered into the profile then they should have been synced. If not you will unfortunately need to do a dummy user modification (just going to the edit page for the user in question and clicked submit/save should be sufficient).

Unfortunately none of the above has corrected the problem. The fullname field has been in place since this thread, but no new users are being synched at all. Going into a profile and saving doesn't do the trick either. now I got pages and pages of users who have different fullnames between Drupal and Gallery.

Can you please PM me a link to your site with drupal/Gallery2 admin access and I will investigate (if you are comfortable with that).

I'd rather not, but I can check anything you'd need me to check. I have Yahoo IM if that's any easier, steel_rat1

Kiz and I worked through this via IM. The main problem was misunderstanding on my part, which I think some editing of the Drupal gallery.module might help alleviate. (Actually the install.txt that comes with the gallery.module doesn't go into any detail, maybe it should instead of sending the user around to following the web links to other documentation)

My problem: I had the Drupal profile field created, but made it hidden, not realizing it was something the user would have to fill in upon registering. I assumed it was just a behind-the-scenes field needed for the Gallery integration. Since my site doesn't require a real or full name, the fullname support isn't needed.

So, for anyone else using this. For fullname support, you'll have to make the profile_full_name drupal field required for the user and visible on registration screen. This just isn't obvious in any of the documentation I see, maybe it's just me.

I'm having the same trouble at my Therabreath site. I have tried everything and I just can't get it right. I'm at my wits end, going to wipe it clean and start again...

What a pain :\
