So I was messing around with the maps again and Im not sure how the export to GE works. I could not get it to work, it opens google earth but theres nothing there. I was not using the gpsbabel.org track file and for just map co-ordinates with a photo why would that be needed anyhow? Does anyone have a working example of the export to ge? Also Instead of the export to ge link showing up for every item wouldnt it be better if there was just 1 master export to ge button for the entire map, google earth can surely handle a lot more data than the web version, I think it would work better.

thoughts?

well this was originally developped independantely and the only thing I manage to accomplish with it so far (i've been a bt lazy there) is to incorporate it into 1 module to make things easier.

The way it works is explained here

I want to make a bit more integrated but I haven't gotten time yet. I want it at some point so it will grab what's in the gallery for the Google Map module and create an export file (kml) for google earth using the links back to gallery and such.

It should actually be not very hard and is on the leaste of feature request. It just has been a matter of time more than anything else :-)

See you !
