After installing 1.1 RC1 I simply cannot get the Options panel to float, although I have set its option to do this.

Also I cannot get the micro thumbnails to show on the left.

I have changed no settings between RC5 and the 1.1 RC1 upgrade. I have the problem in both IE and Opera.

Gallery version (not just "2"): 2.1 (1.1.0 core)
PHP version (e.g. 4.3.11): 4.4.2
PHPInfo Link (see FAQ): http://fjelsten.dk/phpinfo.php
Webserver (e.g. Apache 1.3.33): Apache/1.3.34 (Unix)
Database (e.g. MySql 4.0.11): 4.0.25
Activated toolkits (e.g. NetPbm, GD): GD
Operating system (e.g. Linux): Windows XP (I assume you mean client?)
Browser (e.g. Firefox 1.0): Opera 9 b2
Default theme: PGTheme 1.1 RC1

Thank you for your reply. Love your theme, BTW.

I get a 404 when clicking How to configure PG Theme (http://pedrogilberto.net/g2/themes/PGthemeG20/templates/helpPG.html) here http://pedrogilberto.net/g2/theme.html.

I've just noticed that none of the changes I make seem to make any difference! I click Save and Gallery refreshes the administration page without errors - but when I look at the Gallery nothing has changed!

This is the same for Opera and Firefox - both with cleared caches.

Any suggestions on how to approach this problem?

caches - do you mean browser's caches? the changes you made require clearing template cache too. (site admin->maintenance)

Wow - I did not know I had to do that as I've never done it before although I have made numerous changes.

Anyway, clearing the template cache had no effect at all. Any other hints?

I have looked in the DB:
SELECT *
FROM `g2_PluginParameterMap`
WHERE `g_pluginId` = "PGtheme"

- and it seems like the information is there but PGTheme is not reading it. How can that be?

Deleting the files under /local fixed the problem

I spoke too soon. The problem is still there on photo pages where I now have 1 static and one floating Options bar. Also some other changes to the theme does not seem to stick for the photo page.

Yes I did - sort of.

I deleted the whole PGTheme directory and reinstalled it.

Oh my god. THATS what I have to do?

Im sorry for the pain but, could you tell me the exact process you went through for reinstalling it? I had a nightmare to get it to work when I re-installed the new version the first time. What did you back up? Sorry I'm still new at this and lost things all the time.

Under the Theme folder, delete the PGTheme folder.

Upload the newest version og PGTheme and unzip it - now a correct version will be on the server. Go to Administration though the web interface and make sure PGTheme is active/updated. That's it.

This is extremely annoying. I have deleted and reinstalled/activated the PGtheme and I still have the same problem. I have NO floating sidebar at all, and I don't even get the Image Blocks or any sidebar whatsoever.

I notice that most of my settings remain as before, so its keeping something cached somewhere?

There must be a solution to this. Please help anybody that has an insight.

update: I cleared out all my cache, both database and temporary. Now I can get the sidebar if I select "static", but i dont get any sidebar at all if I select "floating".

Thats exactly what I did. But several things do not work. The right click disable, alert message, etc. does nothing. The little icons for first, previous, etc. dont show when i move my mouse over the text...and many other problems. previous version worked fine for me.
