newbie...quick question before install...

I'm in the beginning stages of creating my site. I'm using vbPortals & vBulletin and would love to be able to use this product. Do I have to have images available before I download and install the product, or can I simply download it and set everything up first and then add the images?? The reason I ask is because I'm still learning php and I have yet to create a database for handling my images.

I run a w2k server w/apache ver2.0.39, mysql ver3.23, and php ver4.2. I host this server from my own location and I have yet to setup ftp. Are there any concerns I need to be aware of before installing?

Any response is appreciated.

--> upload your images whenever you want, gallery install don't need it right away.

with your setup, everything should be running ok.
Make sure you download a copy of netpbm for windows os, check the download page.
