[map theme] how do u make markers?

I am sorry if I am asking a stupid question, but how do I add markers to the map theme (I already did the photofield-> GPS thing)?

How do I add albums to this page? I can get pictures to show up, but I cannot get the sub-albums to appear. What do I need to do?

The Map Theme does not recurse; however, if you assign the customfield 'GPS'
to the sub-album -and- to the items within it you can drill into them. In
place of adding the customfield to just items (photos), add it as a
Common Field which will place it in both. You could just add it as an
Album Field in addition to your, already added, Photo Field. Then, with
your sub-album now having the 'GPS' field (filled with coordinates)
your initial map will be displayed with a red markers signifying that
marker represents an album. Click on it and that album will be displayed
on a new page and new map.

I am totally confused. Can you explain this in a different, easier way or is that to much to ask?

I guess I did ramble a stream... sorry 'bout that. :-)
-Create an album.
-Edit customfields
-Add a common field named GPS
-Add items (photos) to this album
-Edit their GPS customfield and add coordinates
-Add a sub-album
-Edit it's GPS customfield and add coordinates
-Add items (photos) to the sub-album
-Edit their GPS customfield and add coordinates
-Set the sub-album theme to the map theme
-Set the theme of the sub-albums's parent to the map theme
-Access the parent album
-The map will show green markers representing the items (photos) in the parent album
-The sub-album on this map will have a red marker representing the sub-album
-Click the red marker and a new map will be displayed showing green markers
representing the items (photos) in the sub-album

I hate to say it, but I didn't get it to work. I got the pictures in the parent album to show up as green markers, but the sub-album never appeared.

Any suggestions?

Does the sub-album have a GPS customfield?
If so, does the customfield contain coordinates?
Is the sub-album theme set to the map theme?
