Greeting - I've committed to gallery-contrib several updates to the debaser theme. I addressed many of the show stoppers and IE issues. I admit I didn't keep perfect track of everything I did but these are things I remember:

* Fixed: "slide-up" drawer has a tendency to slide up too high
* Fixed: New empty albums with no items have "no thumbnail" thumbnails that are too small to click.
* Fixed: In IE - upon album page load all thubnail "slide-up" drawers default to their open state (wrong initial state).
* Fixed: Photo View: In IE -
* Fixed: Can't click on thumbnail to see photo if the "slide-up" drawer is open.
* Got rid of the setting to turn off special effects. It wasn't fuly implemented and who would want to turn off special effects!
* The slide-out drawers now have tweening opacity, so it looks a little smoother.
* Added new setting for "In Photo" blocks. these are blocks that show up in the photo view "inside" the photo as a slide-up drawer. this is perfect for EXIF info.
* Photo View: Moved "Photo blocks" outside of the photo. Now beneath. this is a better place for things like comments.
* Show/Hide sidebar toggle now has toggling icons.

Still more to do but wanted to check in the progress. I have made no changes to the colorpacks (yet).

I now have a test gallery set up for playing with themes, where you can see the latest debaser in action: http://www.jacko.com/dev/gallery2/v/themes/

cheers!
chris

I'm also getting smarty errors that would appear to be related the this theme - I do not get the same errors with the stock gallery2 themes.

[03-Apr-2007 13:08:28] PHP Notice: Undefined index: class in /export/www/myhost.com/g2data/smarty/templates_c/%%2475614952/%%B5^B51^B51FF10D%%ItemLinks.tpl.php on line 20

I'm also seeing a lot more sleeping mysql connections than before, but cannot say it this is related or not.

Hmm. I can't think of a reason why the debaser theme would uniquely be causing either problem. Sorry to be of so little help. But thanks for the positive feedback!:

Hi!

I have a problem with expanding the show sidebar, it doesn't work.
I have downloaded the YUI updates and modifed the album.tpl and photo.tpl.
This works fine but not the show sidebar.
Check out the www.bammar.com for more details...
Any ideas what's causing this?

Bye the way, thanks for a very nice theme, god work!

Regards Boz

Hi Boz,

It appears that you have an old version of the debaser theme. I have recently updated it, and you can find it in the gallery-contrib project here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/gallery-contrib

Hi Boz - strangely it still seems you have an old version (my latest version is 0.9.3). The easiest way to get something out of gallery-contrib is to check the whole thing out to an out-of-the-way location with this command:

svn checkout https://gallery.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/gallery-contrib/trunk/gallery2

Then copy the theme/debaser directory from there into your gallery install.

Good luck,
chris

I want to get the updated theme, but I've never used svn, don't even know what it is or where you are supposed to type the "svn checkout..." command. Is there a simple http/ftp location somewhere to download the whole debaser directory so I can reupload it via FTP...?

Looking forward to fixing my IE errors! ;)

Hello, and thank you for a wonderful theme. I have a quick question...

I'm using Gallery embedded in Joomla, and I'd like to have the sidebar permanently displayed. What is the best way to do that? Thanks!

Regards,
Brat.

Hi there,

I really can't find debaser on the gallery-contrib SF project.
There are 4 subprojects listed but none mentions debaser.

Am i overlooking something? Do i need to login?

Thanks,

Nuno.

Hi nzimas
There is a download link in the very first message of this forum thread.
Normally the creator will keep that download link up to date when making improvements.

Enjoy

Hi - you have to drill down into trunk: trunk/gallery2/themes/debaser

But as gaynormcc suggested I've also updated the first post in this thread with a link to a zipfile of the latest version of debaser. This is it actually:

Cheers!

Very nice theme. I want to stick with it but I have a couple of questions..

Is there a way I can remove the thin black border and wider grey border from the thumbnail and photo views?

Another thing that would be very cool is a variable number of thumbnail columns which will adjust automatically according to how many will fit across the screen.. so those people viewing on a larger screen will have thumbs panning right across, and those on a smaller screen will just have a couple of columns.

Possible?

Hi,

First of all, Thx for this great theme.
But i have found a bug on "photo.tpl"

flash player will not be shown correctly, because flash player is being corpped (or covered) by frame:

could anyone advise how to fix this matter? thx a lot!!!

Great job on the theme!!! One thing I would like to be able to do is reverse the sidebar behavior though. I would like it to default to having the sidebar shown and hide the sidebar as the option. Don't know much about coding and my playing around with the .js files is not getting me anywhere. Is there an easy way to do what I want to accomplish?

Thanks!

You can have the sidebar always shown by using 'sidebar.tpl' from matrix theme instead of debaser one but I don't know how to hide it !

edit : *oops* sorry, old post
