Use of %USERPROFILE% under XP

I notice that Gallery Remote Applet creates a folder ".GalleryRemote" in the %USERPROFILE% location. I would recommend this is relocated to one of "%USERPROFILE%\Application Data" or %USERPROFILE%\Local settings\Application Data" in order to exclude it from roaming as a part of the roaming profile (If the user is so configured). I don't know what the official XP compliance rules are for folder creation but I suspect this may not currently be recommended practice. Comments anyone? Julian |
