duplicate names = dupicate thumbs?

I appologize that this isn't G2 stuff, but a moderator from another forum told me to post it here. Rather than getting into is on my own, I'll just point you at the original thread.

Here's a summary:
Whenever you have a picture that has the same name as a movie in the same album, the picture will get the thumb for whichever has its thumb generated LAST. In my case it was the movie. This is because the filename for the thumb is the same for both of them.

So I guess my question is, is this desired behavior or a bug?
