Hi,

I've just uploaded the G2 map-module and am very impressed, however I'm having a few problems and would like to print-out the Map Modules User Guide that I viewed yesterday. Sadly today I can't find a link...any pointers?

Whilst I'm here is it possible to have a single tag on the map for individual photos, I've recently returned from Africa and if I choose a pic from here it also shows a tag from NZ which I applied earlier. I would like any viewer to click on an image and have the map for that continent (or country) to show with the relevant tag only.

My site is www.aviceda.org/gallery although I've only applied maps to the first photo of the 'Ugandan Mammals' and 'NZ' albums.

Any help gratefully received,

Tom

Wiki: HERE

User Guide: HERE

I believe you are asking about limiting visible markers to those
associated with an album (like those you might place in your
Africa trip album)? You could accomplish this by using the
Album Filter feature. You could also greate a Group using
the Group Feature.

Then again, maybe I don't understand (nothing new for me).

Thanks Galmoid,
Just discovered that markers can be placed for albums, (which is the opposite from what I was originally trying to do!)
but will look into the filter & groups options to show where an image was taken.
Do you know a way of setting the 'google map' to show in the index page so users can click on the marker to take them to the specific album?
Cheers,
Tom

While I'm sure Termite has a good way of doing this and may
incorporate such a feature in a future version, I can only
offer this...

To access a map that is filtered on an album, the url would
look like this:

http://www.example.com/Your_Gallery_Dir/main.php?g2_view=map.ShowMap&g2_Group=&g2_album=Album_Nmae

Sorry, that's the extent of my pea brain's ability. :-)

This is something I'm looking at to put in the next release of the map.

It should be pretty easy to do but require some thinking :-)

Hi Termitenshort,

I'm trying to upgrade my exif module, (downloaded it yesterday) should I just replace the v1.0.0 files with v1.0.1 or are there any other important steps that I need to be aware of?

Certainly a great piece of work, many thanks for your efforts!

Don't use the one you downloaded if it is not this:

For future references I put this module in the gmap module sourceforge place so it's all centralized :-)

See you

Thanks Termite. I suppose -I- should have thought of that. :-(
