Good examples of large "Gallery" photo collections

Is there a list anywhere of some representative Gallery
implementations on shared hosts that I can visit
to see if Gallery might meet my requirements.

My hosting service websitesource.com apparently supports
GALLERY and COPPERMINE as applications for their
website customers and might even offer installs from
their hosting system. That should remove any question as to compatability. They just wont give me any links to customers websites.

One thing I did notice is that they are only promoting
and using Gallery 1. Should I insist on Gallery 2
if support for Gallery 1 is going away or if Gallery
2 is hands down superior in all regards.
