[G2] Error 255

I read localization guide but I was stopped at the begining :(

When I use make messages.po I ger error 255:

> make messages.po
make: *** [messages.po] Error 255

I tried vith 2.02 and night build 2.1 but result was same.

Where is the problem?

what is your OS?
did you try "gmake" instead of "make" ?
