Upgrading & Migrating

Hello Guys & Gals,

I'm currently running Gallery 1.4.3-pl2 and plan on upgrading to 2.0.2 shortly. In addition, I'll be switching to an alternative hosting company. Should I upgrade my current version and migrate, or upgrade and then migrate.

Besides the the album's directory, which are the critical directories to backup?

I'd upgrade to the most recent G1 on your current host, then copy your albums dir to your new host, install a fresh G2 there, and run the import there. Should be the least hassle.

G1 also has a config.php file, but to enable upgrading to G2 all G2 needs is the old albums directory.
