After g1 to g2 upgrade, GR 1.5 marks all albums as Read-Only

Well as the title implies, I upgraded from Gallery1 to Gallery2. The upgrade went smoothely and everything seems to be working. However, with Gallery Remote 1.5 (Installed on Windows XP with the built in JVM), I get all the albums marked as "Read-Only". Other uploads seem to work. I have searched for other forum entries, but most of those seem to deal with previous versions of Gallery Remote.

Two things of note that makes me different...

1) I operate on port 812 (due to ISP)
2) I have a ~ in my URL

Everything else is about the norm..

The ~ is the problem. Could you PM me your Gallery URL and a test account (and create one album that my user owns), so that I can finally fix this one? Thanks for your help!

Hi,

I seem to be having the same problem but the fix doesn't work for me. I just upgraded from gallery 1 to gallery 2. Everything seems fine except GR says everything is read-only.

Just a heads up but the fix doesn't catch one case. If your main url is:

domain.org/gallery

which expands into

domain.org/~cms/gallery

because of url rewriting then the fix doesn't detect this condition. In summary: domain.org/gallery doesn't work, but domain.org/~cms/gallery does.

I don't want it to expand to ~cms/galley (a problem I didn't have with gallery 1) but I'll solve that one after.
