"New Albums" section on front page?

I have my pictures organized into a deep nested structure of albums. I like how I have my photos organized, but it can be hard for vistors to find the newest pictures.

Is there a theme or a hack that will allow me to have a section on the first gallery page that shows the newest albums added, without modifiying my album layout structure?

there are related modules, please see the modules forum.
also, you can use the imageblock to show the most recent image / album.
and every theme can be hacked to show exactly what you want.
